Chicago Parent Playdate Ticket Giveaway

I’ve mentioned that the Midwest is waking up from winter hibernation and I couldn’t be happier. (I’m refusing to believe the forecast of “accumulating snow” and “possible hazardous conditions” for tomorrow morning. Lies. All lies.) People are out and about, and the good folks at Chicago Parent are no exception with the fun Chicago Parent Playdate, which promises to be a fun time for both little ones and their grown-ups.

I’m fortunate to be part of the Chicago Parent Blogger Network and to do freelance work for the publication that I am glad to call one of my writing homes. (You can find my pieces for them here.) I love that they cater to both kids and parents, and they plan to do just that with the Chicago Parent Playdate on April 26 at The Accelerated Center in Northbrook, Illinois.

Chicago Parent Playdate

Here are the details of the Chicago Parent Playdate:

  • 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 26
  • The Accelerated Center, 1900 Old Willow Road, Northbrook
  • Admission: $5 kids 2-14; free under 2 and adults. Maximum fee $15 per family. Tickets $8 at the door.
  • Featuring non-stop entertainment on the stage and information we parents need to keep the fun and learning happening all year round.
  • ChicagoParent.com/Playdate to buy tickets and complete the waiver form

The only thing better than a fun time is fun combined with giving back, and a portion of the proceeds of the event will go to Bernie’s Book Bank. Families also are asked to be part of a giant book collection effort planned for that day, so if your kiddos are done with any books, please bring them and know that they’ll find a good home.

“We hope each family will take advantage of the opportunity to plug into our goal of providing books for a better life at this fun-filled event,” says Jill Rosenberg, director of communications and marketing at Bernie’s.

If you’re in Chicagoland, I want to hook you up with tickets to this fun event. Leave a comment below to enter to win a family four-pack of tickets. Let me know your favorite thing about spring, how you feel about the upcoming snow, or just say hi.

Enter by midnight on March 25. I’ll randomly pick two comments as winners and will be in touch via email. Good luck!
