The new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer is here! It will have you counting down the days until the film arrives in theaters everywhere on December 16. Check it out:

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
I love Felicity Jones, and she is the star of Rogue One. It is directed by Gareth Edwards and also stars Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker.
We’re starting to make our holiday plans and I’m excited for our family outing to see it in IMAX 3D! I’m especially excited to see this with my daughter, both because of the strong female protagonist and because it is a stand-alone movie. She’s not as familiar with all the characters and back stories in the other seven Star Wars films, but she should be able to dive right into this one.
